Shruti Mathur Swarup - Founder of Lexicon Learners

Shruti Mathur Swarup is the founder of Lexicon Learners (previously known as Lepbyshruti) and an educator whose passion for literature started in her school days. Unlike her peers, Shruti preferred immersing herself in classics, bringing characters to life through her imagination until the next novel came along. Her university years at Delhi University, pursuing an honors programme in English, offered a wealth of opportunities to read and analyze books, from Wuthering Heights to Mansfield Park to Sons and Lovers. Each book opened a new window into different ages, cultures, and people, and Shruti viewed the characters in each as reflections of those she encountered in her own life.

Earning her Master’s in English led Shruti to teaching, a profession she holds with deep respect. She has taught tenth and twelfth grade English literature and language in Lucknow, and at top Mumbai schools such as Arya Vidya Mandir and Lilavatibai Podar. As a board moderator and team leader for ICSE and ISC for over seven years, Shruti gained experience in guiding both peers and students.

Beyond education, Shruti also reported for a newspaper’s weekly women’s feature and wrote articles focusing on women. She pursued journalism since her college days, working as an editor for her college magazine and contributing to All India Radio, Lucknow. Over the years in the classroom, she noticed that many students, despite being enrolled at English medium schools, struggled with grammar, sentence structure, and subject-verb agreement. After noticing that many students faced challenges with the language, Shruti offered free online grammar classes for students in grades 6-8 and also provided confidence-building and public speaking lessons for students beyond level 5. She also often helped public speakers prepare their speeches. 

With over twenty years of teaching experience, Shruti made a meaningful transition in 2013 by leaving school teaching to start her own English Language and Literature classes for ICSE and ISC students. She began with a class of 65 students, and today she proudly guides over 100 learners. Driven by a deep passion for English, Shruti is committed to helping each student embrace the language fully and confidently as they prepare for a bright and successful future.

Lexicon Learners aims to offer a range of tailored services, including English Language and Literature Classes, Vocabulary Building, Public Speaking and Confidence Building, Communication Coaching, and One-to-One Coaching. These programs are designed to meet diverse learning needs, with new updates continually in development.
